Days of exhibition

The exhibition "Titian’s Flora. Venetian Painting from the Uffizi Galleries" brings to Shanghai the works of the great Masters of the Venetian School of the Renaissance period - Titian, Tintoretto, Giorgione, Veronese, Palma il Vecchio, and the Bassanos - thanks to prestigious loans from the Uffizi Galleries in Florence and important hubs of the Regional Museums Directorate of Tuscany.

The third in the of the multi-year collaboration between the Bund One Art Museum and the Uffizi Galleries, the exhibition project is made possible thanks to the support of the Embassy of Italy to the PRC, the Consulate General of Italy in Shanghai and the Italian Cultural Institute in Shanghai.

Among the masterpieces on display shines the iconic Flora, one of the most extraordinary paintings from the artist's early stage, alongside other Masterpieces such as the Portrait of Tommaso Mosti and Venus and Cupid with a Dog and a Partridge. Many of the Artworks on display in Shanghai have been restored specifically before the exhibition tour in Asia, such as the Miracle of the Slave, whose brilliant colors and delicate chromatic nuances can now be appreciated by the audience thanks to a remarkable restoration.

Alongside the great Masters of the Venetian school, the exhibition includes also many artists from other areas of the Veneto region, showcasing Titian's far-reachig influence and the extensive impact of his painting technique.
