Over 100 works including paintings, glassware, ceramics, textiles, porcelain, bronzes - including a horn owned by Doge Morosini - selected by curator Andrea Bellieni will illustrate the height of Venetian civilization. The Museo Correr, Ca’ Rezzonico, Museum of Glass, Palazzo Mocenigo and the Carlo Goldoni House all contributed generous loans. The exhibition is organized in five sections which convey the different facets of the city state, from its marvelous economic development to its flourishing arts and culture. Chronologically, the exhibition will cover the period between the Renaissance, when the city was one of the most important centers of Europe, to the end of the 18th century, the period of maximum splendor of the Republic of Venice.
