Nearly 50 years after the renowned 1953 exhibition, Milan will give homage once again to one of the most important artists of the 20th century. Curated by Bernard Ruiz Picasso and Bernice Ros, the exhibition features 225 pieces – some of which have never been seen before – that recount Picasso’s entire career (paintings, incisions, sculptures and drawings). The exhibition is structured chronologically: starting with the fascinating Portrait of Angel Fernández de Soto (a clear example of the artist’s “Blue Period”), it passes through the Cubist era and concludes with Picasso’s later works which reflect a more informal style.
