This exhibition, organized by Art Exhibitions China, is the result of 2 years of work and features approximately 150 artifacts from collections in Shanxi, Shandong, Hubei and Sichuan Provinces. Some of them have never been exhibited in Italy, such as the bronze head with gold mask from the Sanxingdui Museum and the bronze bells dating back to the Warring States period. The history of Chinese civilization is traced through these precious artifacts, beginning over 5000 years ago up until the first unification under Emperor Qin in 221 B.C. The exhibition is divided into five sections: “The birth of civilization”, "The advent of the kingdom", "The sacrifices for the Gods and the ancestors", "Ceremonial music", "The age of the Warring States". It is the result of the Italy-China agreement to promote and exchange cultural heritage, which was signed by the Ministers of Culture of each country in October 2010.
