Power and Grace. The Patron Saints of Europe

The exhibition is curated by Don Alessio Geretti and tells the fascinatingly complex history of Europe through the lens of 2000 years of Christianity. 100 works by artists such as van Eyck, Memling, Mantegna, Del Sarto, van Dyck, Titian, Veronese, El Greco, Guercino, Caravaggio, Murillo, Tiepolo. All of the works on display are borrowed from major museums in Europe, giving visitors a unique perspective on some of the most important works of European art. From medieval tablets and paintings, precious diadems and manuscripts, the masterpieces on display represent the long history that has interwoven the fate of Europe with Christianity. Likewise, the exhibition highlights core themes such as beauty and faith, the visible and the invisible, the temporal and the spiritual.
